Didier Hagège

Travel is a starting point for Didier Hagège. From Italy to Jerusalem, New York, Africa and India, encounters feed a practice in which gesture and material carry the emotional force of the image.

Born in Paris in 1961 and trained in Henry Goetz’s studio, he later developed a practice in Marseille combining painting, printmaking and collage. His work sustains an independent perspective, attentive to cultural diversity and the sensory power of images.
