Maryam Taheri

The body, memory and freedom are central to Maryam Taheri’s practice. Her journey began with dance in Iran, which she developed into a language for expressing private experience and the constraints of social life.

In her photographic series “On the Other Side of the Veil”, she explores everyday places as spaces of refuge and self-formation. Her work reveals quiet forms of resistance and the possibility of inner transformation.
