Negareh Ayat

In Negareh Ayat’s oil paintings, organic forms suggest roots, branching structures and underground networks. Their unhurried rhythm connects memory and exile with what remains beyond sight.

Born in 1975, she studied fine arts in Tehran before continuing at the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. Residencies in Mexico, Germany and France have extended her contemplative investigation of the relationship between the visible and the invisible.
