Emmanuelle Renard

In Emmanuelle Renard’s work, oil painting becomes a living theatre. Still lifes, figures and materials meet in a world where the baroque, chaos and expressionism open up new ways of seeing.

Born in Paris in 1963, she lives and works in the city. A painter, draughtswoman and printmaker, she has exhibited since 1985. Travel, carborundum printing and linocut inform a practice attentive to the elements, humanity and shifts in consciousness.
